Manufacturing Readiness

GSS can provide detailed and accurate Bill of Materials of a custom designed product that can be utilized to manufacture the product anywhere in the world. Manufacturing readiness is a detailed and complicated process that if done wrong, can cause major issues or delays in the final product. Graphic Systems Services are experts in manufacturing, which means we have a proven process in preparing presses and equipment for manufacturing.

 

The bill of materials (BoM) is, in its simplest form, a list of parts or components required to build a product. It provides the manufacturer’s part number and the quantity needed of each component. At its most complex, the BoM is a multi-level document that provides build data for multiple sub-assemblies (products within products) and includes — for each item — part number, approved manufacturers list, mechanical characteristics, manufacturing notes, and a whole range of component descriptors.

 

In addition to the Bill of Material, GSS can provide recommended vendors with costing from various suppliers. Obviously, GSS would prefer to manufacture the product for our customers, but in situations where it may be more economical to manufacture outside the US, GSS can provide complete documentation to have the product manufactured anywhere in the world.
